B on 33 makes Its 2024 Tin Cup Debut!

Tin Cup 2024

On Saturday, July 20, B on 33 made its public debut at the 2024 Tin Cup Challenge. Volunteers and board members dressed up as blooms, bees and butterflies much to the delight of the spectators and chanted “B on 33” at the start of the 5K Fun Run/Walk. While board members scurried back to man the booth, the volunteers carried their signs for the entirety of the 3.2 mile walk. And much to our delight, B on 33 won second place in the Spirit Competition.

Board member Cecily Costa entertained the smaller visitors to the booth by teaching them how to make Blue Flax seed bombs out of clay, seeds and water. Other board members explained our mission and plans for the wildflower corridor to their parents and other interested guests. Drawing a number of people into the booth were flower-shaped watermelon and flower shaped gingerbread and lemon cakes.

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to volunteers Karen Bartow, Heidi Blischke, Tom Walker, Laurel Eastman, Jessica Ingram and her daughter Elizabeth, Nan Crowson and Jeannette Chiari for dressing up and spreading the spirit!
