SUMMARY:Fall 2024 – First Planting of Wildflowers
DESCRIPTION:During the Fall of 2024\, we will be working with local experts to mitigate as many weeds as possible and replace them with wildflower seeds. We will work on ONE test plot close to the beginning of the bike path in Victor. We will be showcasing various ways to plant the seeds — scraping the ground\, planting amongst current grasses\, mitigating weeds and then planting. These test plots will be used as a resource for the local community in how to plant in their area of this local paradise.

SUMMARY:2024 Tin Cup Debut
DESCRIPTION:B on 33\, a nonprofit organization under the fiscal sponsorship of Teton Valley Trails & Pathways\, made their 2024 Tin Cup debut on Saturday\, July 20. Winning second place in the Spirit Contest\, board and staff members dressed as blooms\, bees and butterflies. Some even donned the safety vests donated by Valley Lumber and adorned with our logo by Pine Needle Embroidery. The board members spent the morning explaining our mission to hundreds of visitors to our booth. Cecily Costa entertained the smaller guests by showing them how to make blue flax seed bombs out of clay\, blue flax seeds and water while other board members engaged parents and other interested parties.  \nThank you to volunteers\, Karen Bartow\, Heidi Blischke\, Nan Crowson\, Laurel Eastman\, Tom Walker\, Jeanette Chiari\, Jessica Ingram and Elizabeth Ingram for dressing up\, walking and spreading the word.

There will be test plots that show the various ways that we are attempting to plant wildflowers along the corridor….scraping the dirt\, broad spreading the seeds\, etc. Planting wildflowers in existing grasses is difficult but with local experts\, we will succeed.
